Uses
N-methylmorpholine is mainly used as a solvent (an excellent solvent for dyes, cheeses, waxes, shellacs, etc.), an extractant, a stabilizer for chlorocarbons, an analytical reagent, a catalyst, a corrosion inhibitor, N-methyl? Porphyrins are also used in the synthesis of rubber accelerators and other fine chemicals. N-methylmorpholine is also used as a catalyst for polyurethanes, a catalyst for the synthesis of ampicillin and hydroxybenzyl penicillin.
