– TMPD, a by-product of alcohol ester twelve, has a repellent effect on mosquitoes, flies and parasites, and can be used as a repellent; it can also be used as a raw material for synthetic fragrance. In printing inks, it is resistant to humidity and can be used as a bonding solvent to replace diethylene glycol.
