Dioctyl terephthalate CAS 6422-86-2 is a Pale yellow transparent oily liquid or Colorless transparent oily liquid. Dioctyl terephthalate (DOTP) is the excellent plasticizer for PVC plastic, compared with the commonly used diisooctyl phthalate (DOP), it has the advantages such as heat resistance, cold resistance, difficult to volatilize, soft, good electric insulating property, etc. The products has good durability, and low temperature softness. It can be extensively used in cable materials resisting to 70°C (IEC standard) and other PVC soft products.DOTP can be used in cable materials, PVC plasticizer and in the production of artificial leather film. In addition, it has excellent intermiscibility, it can be used in the plasticizer of acrylonitrile derivative, polyvinyl butyral, nitrile rubber, nitrocellulose, etc. It can also be used in the plasticizer of synthetic rubber, coating additive, lubricant for precise instrument, and the softener of paper.
