Aluminium hydroxide CAS 21645-51-2

Aluminum Hydroxide, Powder, Reagent, is a naturally occurring mineral called gibbsite and is an amphoteric material and dissolves in acid and strong alkalis. Its main use is in the production of aluminum metal with over 100 million tons produced every year. It is also used as a fire retardant and an anti-acid. Its reagent grade means this is the highest quality commercially available for this chemical and that the American Chemical Society has not officially set any specifications for this material.
